SARAH BIRD

The Wood Panel Series are studies in minimal abstraction completed during a Covid 19 lockdown.  Made up of photographs of the immediate environment that have been digitally manipulated, often to the point of destruction.  These distorted shapes have then been cut and paste onto warm wooden surfaces, juxtaposing the potential and limitations of virtual with the home-made quality of modernist collage.
